Why should I join DCA?

1.  The Deanwood Citizens Association is your organization.  As a member, you make your voice heard, help preserve the past, and shape your neighborhood’s future.

2.  Are you concerned about city agency responsiveness, police and fire safety issues, historic preservation, community togetherness, neighborhood shopping diversity, looming development threats, or cleanliness?  At our monthly meetings, you will find out what is really going on and you will have an impact.

3.  There is no better way to meet your neighbors and talk with local leaders and city officials who make our city run—and work for us.

Membership Dues

Individual: $15 (per person)

Seniors: $5 (55-over, per person)

Business (incl church): $35

Our dues are low for a reason. We want to represent this community as broadly as possible. We are one of DC's best bargains in democracy.  Your membership greatly strengthens the Association's voice before city officials on important civic issues.
